Aurora Borealis Visible as Far South as Colorado
Strongest northern lights in 10 years
Colorado saw the strongest northern lights in a decade due to a severe geomagnetic storm.
The colors of the aurora borealis, normally limited to far northern latitudes, were seen in Colorado Monday night, reports the Denver Post.
A severe geomagnetic storm on Monday night caused the aurora to be visible in Colorado and other unusual locations, including New England and Iowa.
