Taos and Stowe Join Mountain Collective
Ski pass now includes 11 resorts
“Taos is clearly the best ski mountain in New Mexico, and Stowe is arguably the best in the East.”
The Mountain Collective ski pass, which offers holders two days at each of the participating resorts, now includes Vermont’s Stowe Mountain Resort and New Mexico’s Taos Ski Valley, according to a Facebook post from Mountain Collective on August 11.
The pass already included the following resorts:
- AltaSnowbird in Utah
- Aspen Snowmass in Colorado
- Ski Banff-Lake Louise-Sunshine Village in Alberta, Canada
- Jackson Hole in Wyoming
- Mammoth Mountain in California
- Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows in California
- Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada
- Sun Valley in Idaho
- Thredbo in New South Wales, Australia
Beginning this season, pass holders can access Taos’ Kachina Peak via a new chairlift that reaches 12,450 feet, according to the Taos Ski Valley website. They will also have access to newly renovated base area facilities.
Stowe, which regularly receives more than 300 inches of snow per year, is the first resort on the East Coast to join the Mountain Collective pass, according to the Stowe Mountain Resort website.
“Taos is clearly the best ski mountain in New Mexico, and Stowe is arguably the best in the East,” Christian Knapp, vice president of marketing for Aspen Ski Company, the managing partner of the Mountain Collective, told Outside. “We look at resorts that have authentic, deep history and great ski town experiences.”
