Most of the Outside staff owns at least one pair of Duer jeans. Some of us have had them for years, others are just coming into their first pair. No matter the situation, our staff has something to say about these jeans.
I love skinny jeans. Skinny jeans that feel like running tights? Even better. These Duers have some technical chops, with their fancy L2X fabric, but they hide them with a flattering cut and gray heathered wash.

I wear these jeans three times a week. Soft and super stretchy, they have the comfy feel of sweatpants in a slim silhouette that’s appropriate for work or the bar. And the green color? Originally I was skeptical, but now I love the wardrobe variety.

I’ve had these jeans for a couple years now and wear them about four times a week. They’ve only just started to break down on the interior seams. The dark wash and skinny cut make them incredibly easy to pair with just about anything.
—Emily Reed, assistant editor
I’ve always had two kinds of jeans in my closet: everyday jeans and “fancy” jeans (read: stiff and uncomfortable). Duer jeans are both. Their dark wash and skinny fit look as good with Birkenstocks and a T-shirt as they do with heels and a nice top, and the fabric has the substantive feel I prefer with just enough stretch for all-day wear.
