Here's something we wish we'd had while flying back from Thanksgiving, crammed between a sullen tween and plus-sized gentleman: “Seat alert” is a new service offered by ExpertFlyer.com that notifies you when a preferred seat opens up on your flight. The New York Times reports that the service will be included with ExpertFlyer's $9.99 premium subscription service, and saves users from constantly checking their flight options.
