Bhadra Sharma
Bhadra Sharma is a journalist covering South Asia focusing on climbing, mountains, climate change, geopolitics and social affairs. He has chronicled the deadly 2014 avalanche on Mount Everest avalanche, the devastating 2015 Nepal earthquake, India’s economic blockade on Nepal, the Covid Crisis in South Asia, the use of mercenaries in the Russia-Ukraine war, and the recent Gen Z protests for The New York Times.
He has also reported on the first expedition to K2. He has investigated Chinese corruption, the death and exploitation of migrant workers, and the surge of electric vehicles across South Asia. He is a co-author of a book, Impunity and Political Accountability in Nepal.
