Dave Shively works as a senior editor at Outside, where he manages custom content for various media partners. He’s penned and produced profile and travel features while leading gear and adventure coverage for Men’s Journal, and previously directed content at the Adventure Sports Network and Canoe & Kayak. Based in Southern California, Shively has three daughters and one book, The Pacific Alone, which won a 2019 National Outdoor Book Award.
