Eric Olson
Eric Olson is a freelance writer based in Seattle. You can find his work in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Slate, Literary Hub, and elsewhere. He was a NCAA Division-I springboard diver and worked for ten years as an environmental engineer, remediating Superfund sites. His primary journalism beats include novels and jazz music. He also writes fiction.
An avid backpacker, Eric tries to spend a few weeks outside each year. His favorite places to hike are Olympic National Park and Canyonlands National Park. If he’s pressed for time or energy, an afternoon river float will suffice.
