Joshua Berman
Joshua Berman is a contributing writer to Outside, reporting on travel and the outdoors from his home base in Longmont, Colorado.
Joshua is the author of Moon Colorado Camping (2020) and Moon Colorado Hiking (April 2024), and has contributed to the “Around Colorado” travel column in The Denver Post since 2012. His travel articles have appeared in The New York Times, USA Today, National Geographic Traveler, Elevation Outdoors, AARP, and other publications.
Joshua is also a Spanish teacher and outdoor educator who used to work as a wildland firefighter and Outward Bound instructor. His most memorable adventures include his round-the-world, 16-month, volunteering honeymoon, hiking the first 100 miles of the Colorado Trail, and eating balls with Andrew Zimmern on the Travel Channel. He continues to enjoy hiking and camping throughout the Rocky Mountains and beyond.
