Kendall Hunter
Kendall Hunter is a freelance writer who covers adventure travel and culture for Travel + Leisure, AFAR, Dreamscapes, and more. Her interests range from deep cultural immersion to cutting-edge technology. Recent adventures have found her sipping mate with the Guaraní in Argentina’s rainforest, following the rooibos route through South Africa’s remote Cederberg Mountains, and hiking alongside St. Bernards in their ancestral home in the Swiss Alps.
She’s authored three books: Black Taxi: Shooting South Africa, a photojournalistic account of South Africa’s transition to democracy; Culture Smart: Switzerland, written during a decade living in the country; and Beer Hiking: Canadian Rockies. Whether tracking ancient traditions or testing the latest innovations, she’s drawn to stories where landscape and culture collide.
