Monisha Rajesh
Monisha Rajesh is a British journalist and author who writes about railways for the Financial Times, National Geographic Traveller UK, Condé Nast Traveller and Travel + Leisure among others.
Her love for railroads began in 2010 when she spent four months hanging out the open doors of Indian Railways for her debut, Around India in 80 Trains. It was further indulged in her second book, Around the World in 80 Trains which won the National Geographic Traveller Book of the Year and was shortlisted for the Stanford Dolman Award. Unable to travel anywhere without riding the rails, whether that’s into Norway’s Arctic Circle, through the Lhasa Valley or around the Italian Alps, Rajesh is usually found sitting at a window with a cup of tea in hand and watching the world flit by. Her latest book is Moonlight Express: Around the World by Night Train.
