Colorado backcountry.
Do you dream of becoming a filmmaker? Think you belong on television? This January, the Outside Adventure Film School is teaming up with Outside Television to create a reality TV show in the Colorado backcountry.
Over a week’s time, you will shoot and edit your own short film as we hike four miles into the Colorado backcountry to untouched powder and stunning landscapes. Students will receive intensive, hands-on filmmaking instruction while snow-camping, skiing, and spending two nights in the famous Janet’s Cabin.
A television crew will be on location throughout the week, documenting the experience of filmmaking, backcountry activities, and you. We are looking for interesting personalities who are comfortable in front of a camera and aspire to tell great stories through film. This is a tuition-based program that will cost $2,595 for those who take part.
If this sounds like something for you, then you should create a two-to-five-minute video of yourself and send it our way. No need for editing or high production value, we just want to see you. Clips filmed on smartphones are perfectly acceptable; we only ask that you include the following:
Submission videos should be sent to backcountryfilmschool@seracfilms.com with the subject line “AFS Submission Video.” All videos must be received no later than Sunday, November 25, 2012.
