Book Ranks the World’s Most Amazing Places

Lonely Planet is releasing Ultimate Travel: The 500 Best Places on the Planet… Ranked, according to the company’s website. Based on research by Lonely Planet’s travel experts, the book will rank the “500 most thrilling, memorable, downright interesting places on this planet.”

Ultimate Travel won’t be available in the United States until October 2015, but Lonely Planet released a list of the top 10 places. Here’s which spots came in on top:

1. Temples of Angkor, Cambodia
2. Great Barrier Reef, Australia
3. Machu Picchu, Peru
4. Great Wall of China, China
5. Taj Mahal, India
6. Grand Canyon National Park, United States
7. Colosseum, Italy
8. Iguazu Falls, Brazil-Argentina
9. Alhambra, Spain
10. Aya Sofya, Turkey
