The founder of the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation, a group that supports athletes who have suffered major injuries in winter action sports, last week broke a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive high fives in a 24-hour period. Roy Tuscany high-fived 9,325 different people at the San Fransisco Ski & Snowboard Festival, snatching the record from professional skier and Paralympic medalist Josh Dueck. In 2006, Tuscany suffered a major spinal cord injury after miscalculating a jump at Mammoth Mountain in California.
