Pacific Crest Heli-Guides teamed up with HeliTahoe to promise powder-seekers access to more than 100,000 acres of privately owned lands. Based out of the Truckee Airport just north of Lake Tahoe, the operation will be limited to 16 adventure seekers per day with one guide to every four guests. Full day trips will start at $899 per person–the same price Telluride's Helitrax quotes for a single-day trip of six runs.
Lake Tahoe hasn't had a full-fledged heli-skiing operation since a few small enterprises launched in the early 1970s. Check out Pacific Crest's website for more information.
