American snowboarder Kelly Clark earned first place in the halfpipe semifinals today at the O'Neill Evolution 2011 in Davos, Switzerland, according to Transworld Snowboarding. Today marked the first day of competition at the 6star halfpipe and slopestyle event, which continues through Saturday.
Clark was a gold medalist at the 2002 Olympics and looks at the O'Neill Evolution as a good place to kick off her 2011 season.
“I am doing the TTR this year,” Clark said, “so I thought the Evolution would be a great event to come to before going to Laax.”
