Lonely Planet released its 2016 Best in Travel destinations on Wednesday, ranking its top choices for countries, cities, and regions. Topping the list of cities is Kotor, Montenegro, on the Balkan Peninsula, while Botswana, in southern Africa, took the top slot for countries. Outside has covered the adventure-travel beat for nearly four decades.
