On May 22nd, Lewis Gordon Pugh Lewis swam 1kilometer across Lake Pumori at an altitude of 5,300m under the summit of Mt Everest, according to posterous.com. It took him 22 minutes and 51 second to swim in the 2 degrees centigrade water. Pugh swam to draw attention to the impact of global warming on the Himalayas.
