We wouldn't take it backpacking, but Mollusc is a fun tent nonetheless.
This four-person shelter ($350) works like a dome tent when fully deployed, but can also be folded part-way back to create an open-air wind break or sun shade. It weighs a hefty 23 pounds, but comes with sturdy aluminum and fiberglass poles, a locking door, and the option for integrated solar lights.
