These new fall clothes will make you want to upgrade your wardrobe.
Huckberry just launched its fall catalog and it’s filled with beautiful products that make me want to upgrade from my stained T-shirts and holey sweaters. I want everything, but here are my top five picks.
A thick wool sweater always makes me remember cold dark winters growing up in Maine. It’s an oddly satisfying feeling and it’s what I think about when I see the Westray Crew. The traditional fisherman-style jumper is knitted from 100 percent British wool and features chunky cable stitch on the front. Bring on the ice storms.
Western Rise makes some of my favorite stylish apparel and I’ll certainly be adding the Airloft jacket to my wardrobe soon. The tailored cut looks sharp, but the water- and stain-resistant finish and thin layer of synthetic insulation promise to hold up in the mountains as well.
Full disclosure, I own this knife. But I like it so much that I’ll take any excuse to write about it. It’s a study in simplicity. A plain but elegant titanium handle houses and then locks out a tough 2.81-inch steel drop-point blade. Very few moving parts keep the weight down and make the knife easy to clean.
Having grown up a stone’s throw from the factory that makes the venerated L.L.Bean boot, I want to hate the All-Weather Duckboot. But I can’t. Why? Because it’s so damn practical. It fits like a snug sneaker, but from the gusseted tongue to the treated full-grain leather to the waxed laces, the thing is completely waterproof.
I’m a sucker for a well-fitting white T-shirt. This one is made from 100 percent Supima cotton, which is grown in California and has stronger yet softer fibers than regular cotton. It’s also preshrunk so it won’t be unwearable after I inevitably toss it in the dryer instead of hanging it out to dry.
