The barren land of the arctic is where filmmaker Jason van Bruggen calls home for a few months each year. On an international fellowship with The Explorers Club, he facilitates contact between remote communities and emerging foreign businesses. There is strength within these communities, but they are also susceptible to outside political agendas. The footage for The Explorers Club: The North was gathered during some of van Bruggen’s most recent expeditions deep into the arctic, and the film showcases just how beautiful and special this place is.
