From filmmakers Tyler Allyn and Cooper Lambla on behalf of the U.S. National Whitewater Center, The Al Hajar Traverse is the story of a bikepacking journey through the mountains of northern Oman. Nothing went according to plan—the desert landscapes the team expected eluded them, and instead they found jagged rocks, staggering elevation changes, and no-fall zones. Though they rode some singletrack, they found that the route they initially mapped was unrideable. Yet despite all that, it was still a beautiful journey.
