In the fall of 2015, pro mountain bikers Eric Porter and Jess Pedersen planned a bikepacking trip through the final sections of the Colorado Trail, from Silverton to Durango. They stashed provisions at the halfway point of the route, caught a train to the trailhead, and took off on the roughly 80-mile ride.
