Melancholy Gorge journeys through the moody New River Gorge of West Virginia, the site of the oldest river and mountain range in the world. Harun Mehmedinovic and Gavin Heffernan created the film in collaboration with the International Dark-Sky Association as a part of their ongoing SKYGLOW Project, an effort to explore the dangers of urban light pollution and the pristine beauty of the country's dark-sky preserves.
