From Sherpas Cinema and the North Face, Always Above Us looks at alpine climbers Kris Erickson and Conrad Anker’s attempt to climb the Nutcracker. The route is inspired by their friend and fellow climber Alex Lowe, who died in 1999 on an expedition in Tibet. Lowe was the first to ascend an adjacent route called Winter Dance.
