In A Space for All, a new film from Pearl Izumi, Brooke Goudy shares her passion for getting more Black women and people of color into the cycling community. The film, produced by Drew Bennett, follows a community ride with Goudy in Boulder, Colorado, organized by Outdoor Afro, a nonprofit that connects Black people through outdoor recreation and conservation. Twenty years from now, Goudy hopes she’s no longer talking about why representation matters. “I hope that we acknowledge and understand barriers, and that we—all folks, white folks, Black folks, brown folks—are out there working our hardest to remove those barriers,” she says.
