In May 2014, American Joby Ogwyn will attempt the first wing suit flight off the summit of Mount Everest. The event, called EVEREST JUMP LIVE, will be broadcast live on the Discovery Channel during a two-hour long special that will follow Joby’s journey to the summit and his flight down. In this exclusive clip, Outside’s own Grayson Schaffer explains the role Sherpas will play in EVEREST JUMP LIVE, and talks about their importance to the Everest climbing community.
