The Best Backpack for Your Dog

SUBJECT: So today I'm going to talk about the Kurgo Baxter pack. This is a dog backpack that I use with my husky mix, Koda. We are always going on hikes and camping, basically every weekend. So I really rely on this backpack to make sure that he has everything he needs. And it puts a little bit of weight off of my back, because he can carry his own gear.

So it has four separate pockets, two on each side. And you do need to make sure that the weight's evenly distributed, otherwise it will start tos hift on their backs.

But the pockets are really spacious. I usually put his travel bowl, some water, some snacks. If we're camping, I'll put one or two meals into his pockets. So tons of space for everything you need for your dog.

It has a handle on top, which is great if you're scrambling over rocks or whatever, and you need to pick up your dog. My dog is 60 pounds, so I can't really pick him up too much, but if you have a smaller dog, it's a really great feature.

And then there's a connection point in the front and in the back, depending on where you like to clip your leash. The one in front is actually a bottle opener as well, but I've never used it for that.

So I really love this backpack. I've been using it for about a year now. I've had no problems with it, other than, again, you really have to make sure that the weight's even or it will start to shift and you're going to have to continuously stop and readjust it on your dog. If you have any questions, just drop them in the comments below, and I'd be happy to answer them.
