A few months ago, Swarovski Optik’s Ben Lizdas and Wes Siler got in an argument about who contributes more to bird conservation: bird hunters or birdwatchers. Arguing on behalf of the hunters, Siler told Lizdas to come convince him otherwise. And here we are. Enlisting the help of renowned wildlife guide Forrest Rowland, Siler and Lizdas visit the private ranch Landtrust, where they watch sage grouse and golden eagles interacting in a relationship that helps preserve the entire western ecosystem.
