Nadia Iris Mercado grew up in nature but not in the traditional-summits, red-rocks, and deep-canyons kind of nature. Hers was spent in local parks, playing on the beach, and running in her Florida neighborhood. This affection for the outdoors is rooted in the encouragement of her mother, Clariza, to spend time outside.
