In 1959, 16-year-old Ian Sykes left school and joined the Royal Air Force Mountain Rescue. He was placed in the Cuillin Ridge in the remote Isle of Skye. In this film, Cuchulainn, from Pertex, Sykes comments on why he could never leave. “I come from Yorkshire, but I always said you’d have to chain me up to take me out of Scotland,” he says.
