Julien Howard is the Vélo Barber. In this recent release from Hammerhead, filmmakers follow Howard as he bikes around New York City to clients waiting for a haircut in their homes, studios, and offices. Through his work, he’s connected with people from all walks of life—Wall Street bankers, Brooklyn jewelry designers. “No matter where you’re from, what your background is or what you believe in, people have the same basic needs: they want to be loved, they want to be taken care of, and they want to be respected,” Howard says.
