As we've written before, the Flint Hills region outside Emporia, Kansas, is rugged, remote, and surprisingly ideal terrain for the booming cycling discipline of gravel grinding. In 2006, Jim Cummins and Joel Dyke organized the inaugural Dirty Kanza, a 200-mile bicycle race on the gravel they'd been riding for decades. Last year Salsa Cycles met riders on the finish line, captured raw emotions, and put together this short video, I Ride For Her.
