In the final episode of Not Just a Boys’ Club, filmmaker Alexa Fay speaks with Geneviève de la Plante, co-owner of Allez Up and founder of the B.I.G. Initiative, a nonprofit that helps women achieve their goals in climbing and the organization behind this film series. Flannery Shay-Nemirow, instructor for the B.I.G. Initiative, also explains how the organization is helping women become route setters.

Not Just a Boys’ Club, presented by the B.I.G. Initiative and the North Face, with support from Mate Libre, follows the lives of nine women working in the Canadian climbing industry. The series aims to encourage the climbing community to reexamine the role gender plays for women seeking and obtaining opportunities in the sport.
